Full Job Description Job Summary:

South Star JCB is seeking an experienced Parts Counter Sales Representative to support our growing service and parts operation. This role is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identifying, sourcing, and purchasing heavy equipment parts while ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, or diesel parts and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist walk-in customers, technicians, and phone inquiries with parts needs Identify correct parts using electronic catalogs and manufacturer systems Provide accurate quotes and process parts sales transactions Order parts from vendors and monitor backorders and availability Maintain accurate inventory and stock levels Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments Process cores, returns, and warranty parts as required Work closely with service department to support repair jobs and minimize downtime Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts counter area

Qualifications:

2+ years parts counter experience (heavy equipment or diesel preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment components Experience with parts lookup systems (OEM catalogs, DBS, etc.) preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory systems)
