In this energetic role, you will be the go-to expert for parts and accessories, providing exceptional service to enthusiasts and professionals alike. Your proactive approach will ensure inventory accuracy, foster strong customer relationships, and promote the latest products and solutions in the marine and powersports industry. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine your passion with your sales skills in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and innovation. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting the right marine (outboard) and powersports parts, accessories, and maintenance products through knowledgeable guidance and active listening Manage inventory levels using inventory management systems (such as CMMS) to ensure product availability and accurate stock control Process sales transactions efficiently via POS systems while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures Support order fulfillment by picking, packing, and organizing parts for timely delivery or pickup Conduct automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance assessments to recommend suitable parts or repairs Maintain organized stock shelves, perform stocking duties, and oversee inventory control to prevent shortages or overstock situations Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication skills Skills Strong knowledge of marine diagnostics, maintenance, repair, and service procedures and terminology Proven experience in retail sales, dealership environments, or parts management within the marine or powersports sectors Excellent negotiation skills to upsell products and close sales effectively Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases are highly desirable Familiarity with inventory management software (such as CMMS), Microsoft Excel, POS systems, and retail math principles Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for stock control and order fulfillment processes Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for customer interactions Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote new products or special promotions within the store This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to leverage their automotive knowledge and sales expertise in a vibrant environment dedicated to outdoor recreation.
