Our associates help customers improve their operations by providing dependable products, technical expertise, and responsive service. We are seeking a customer-focused and mechanically inclined Counter Technician to support our branch operations. This position combines customer service, inside sales, warehouse support, and hands-on hose assembly work. The Counter Technician assists customers at the sales counter, over the phone, and through email while helping ensure orders are quoted, assembled, processed, and completed accurately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in warehousing, production, construction, industrial distribution, or a similar hands-on environment who enjoys working directly with customers. What You'll Do Maintain a strong commitment to all company safety policies and procedures. Assist customers in person at the sales counter and through phone and email inquiries. Recommend and quote products based on customer applications and requirements. Build, test, and inspect industrial hose assemblies according to customer specifications. Process customer inquiries, quotes, and orders using the company's sales system. Provide product and technical support to customers, account managers, branch leadership, and internal team members. Monitor order commitments and help expedite orders when necessary. Track customer-specific inventory to support accurate and timely order fulfillment. Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Make outbound calls to current and potential customers to identify sales and service opportunities. Contribute to branch sales and growth goals. Keep work areas organized and follow established quality and safety standards. Perform additional responsibilities as trained and qualified. What We're Looking For At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED. One to three years of related experience in warehousing, production, construction, manufacturing, industrial distribution, or a similar environment. Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow through on customer requests. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet-based systems. Willingness and ability to learn company software and industrial product applications. Practical math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and units of measurement. Reliable transportation. Availability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends when business needs require it. Previous experience in an industrial store, warehouse, hose shop, manufacturing operation, or similar environment is preferred. Prior industrial hose assembly experience is helpful but not required for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Why Join LGG Industrial?
