Job Description

South Seattle manufacturer is looking for a full-time highly-motivated Receiving Inspector. Your attention to detail and skillful inventory management will keep projects moving to completion. Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable person to join our team as a Receiving Inspector. In this position, you will support the manufacturing process through the "kitting" of parts for machining and assembly. Discipline and accuracy are essential. You will provide reports and updates to the Production Manager, coordinate with members of the QA department, and work with procurement to resolve incorrect incoming shipments. This is a great position for someone who enjoys working independently as well as with a team.
Essential Job Functions:
Verify product is correct as received from vendors. Check documents for accuracy relative to the purchase order, manufacturing plan, and drawing. Measure or check physical characteristics where possible. Properly identify and mark received parts and materials, route to the appropriate location. Maintain and manage purchased parts and machined parts inventory for every open job. Double-check all work to ensure consistent accuracy. Possess a working knowledge of ERP systems as well as Microsoft Excel. Be a self-starter and have a passion for problem-solving. Bend, reach, lift, twist, and walk throughout the day. Use calipers, tape measure, and micrometers to validate parts. Perform basic math; must be comfortable converting between decimals and fractions. Possess familiarity with metals (aluminum, alloy steel, stainless steel), plastics, etc. and have a willingness to learn about additional product types and categories. Have a basic understanding of machining and assembly functions. 2+ years' experience in Receiving. Safely and accurately use saws. Requirements Read/comprehend and follow work instructions. Ability to read drawings (a plus). Ability to work in a team atmosphere. Steel or composite toe shoes complying with current revision of
ASTM F-2413.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. High School graduation or GED required. Good verbal and written communication. Respect and commitment to the job and for coworkers. Problem solving abilities. $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
DOE Hours:

Experience:
