In this vital role, you will support the auction process from start to finish, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help facilitate successful auctions, manage administrative tasks, and assist with client communication. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a lively auction environment where your organizational skills and enthusiasm will shine. Position includes the opportunity to travel and handle items of historic significance. Responsibilities Assist the auctioneer during live and online auctions, managing phone bids, clerking, and participant registration Handle front counter duties. Purchasing gold, appraising items of value, assisting bidders and consignors. Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, provide information, and direct calls efficiently Cataloging auction inventory using AuctionFlex. Take high quality photos of auction inventory in our designated photography studio. Edit photos of inventory in Photoshop to be uploaded in the online catalog. Support office management tasks including filing, data entry, proofreading, and organizing auction materials Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions promptly and courteously Handle confidential information with discretion while supporting administrative functions like appointment scheduling and correspondence Assist in shipping the items to the buyers or returning inventory to consignors. Be willing and able to assist in different areas of the auction process. Skills General computer literacy. Photoshop proficiency is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for client interaction and team coordination Experience with office management, clerical tasks, bookkeeping, and data entry processes Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clients effectively Knowledge or interest in history is helpful but not required.
