  • acre Event venue located along the Brazos River about 20 minutes SE of Waco, TX.
The Ranch is used primarily for family reunions, weddings, parties, corporate retreats and meetings, etc. The property has several buildings which serve as the complex for events including an Event Center, Chapel, office, Lodge with 15 guest rooms, several individual guest houses, also with guest rooms and a 10-room hotel. The property also includes support buildings including the laundry, equipment sheds, tool sheds and other structures for maintenance equipment and tools. The ranch also has an assortment of ranch animals including exotics. Moon River Ranch is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Venue Sales & Events Specialist to help grow our business and increase event bookings. In this role, you will be responsible for converting inbound inquiries into confirmed event bookings while proactively generating new business through networking, referrals, partnerships, outbound prospecting, and relationship building. You'll work closely with prospective clients from their initial inquiry through contract execution, creating an exceptional sales experience while helping clients bring their events to life. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, exceeding sales goals, and creating memorable event experiences. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Meet with prospective clients to understand their event needs and recommend the best venue and event solutions. Convert inbound inquiries into confirmed event bookings. Proactively generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. Conduct professional venue tours, showcasing Moon River Ranch and its amenities. Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, contracts, and rental agreements to secure bookings. Develop relationships with corporations, event planners, wedding planners, nonprofit organizations, schools, and local businesses to generate new opportunities. Manage your sales pipeline from initial inquiry through signed contract. Maintain ongoing relationships with past and existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement. Communicate sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to leadership while recommending strategies to increase bookings. Serve as the primary sales contact throughout the booking process. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to event execution. Ensure contracts, deposits, and required documentation are completed accurately and on time. Assist with venue marketing initiatives, networking events, bridal shows, and promotional activities to generate additional business. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of inbound and outbound sales experience required. Previous sales experience in hospitality, event venues, hotels, resorts, weddings, conferences, tourism, country clubs, or catering preferred Proven track record of achieving sales goals and closing business. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple sales opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional customer service. Professional, positive, and results-oriented attitude.
Compensation Base Salary:
$50,000 and Commission (3.5% of the payments collected up to the amount of the revenue for the reservations that you book)
