We are looking for a extraordinary, customer service focused individual to join the SAN MAR Properties team as a Full Time leasing agent in Porterville, CA. This position would work weekdays for a total of 40 hours per week. What you will be doing in a nutshell: You will work with prospective residents from initial contact, through the application and move-in process. Primary contact for customer service needs for the community. Must be a strong communicator, have a professional presentation, be a team player, be flexible and adaptable, be able to multi-task and have strong follow up and organizational skills. Yardi experience preferred.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Understand and enforce SAN MAR Properties, Inc. policies and procedures; the community's rules and regulations and the terms of the lease and other addenda to the lease
- Comply with the state Fair Housing (Residential Landlord & Tenant Act) and all other governmental laws and regulations Support and comply with company policies and procedures Good customer service
- Assist manager in daily rent collection and ensure deposits, recording of rent and reports are completed in a timely manner Prepare and process paperwork for applicants according to the established resident selection criteria Prepare, process rental applications, lease packets, renewals and related forms Conduct follow up calls and traffic documentation on all prospects Complete all necessary paperwork for re-certifications and/or lease renewals Follow through on 3rd party verifications for recertification (if tax credit property) Maintain property files, records and reports Maintain move-in packets and have paperwork ready for final signatures Maintain PG&E log for occupied and vacant units Assist in doing move-in inspection with residents and completion of move-out inspection and final closing statement To have a comprehensive working knowledge of all lease-related documents and be able to accurately complete the documents in a timely manner Good organizational skills Follow through with all requests from Resident Manager Perform all other duties as assigned Proficient sales skills Handle telephone calls and office visits from prospective residents and maintain occupancy goals Lease apartments at the highest effective rent level possible while maintaining a strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy Greet prospective residents with a smile, professionalism and pleasing personality.
