Real Estate Agent Rodgers Realty Group Groton, CT 06340 $1.00 - $129,640.14 a year - Full-time $1.00 - $129,640.14 a year - Full-time Overview Join Rodgers Realty Group as a motivated and professional Real Estate Sales Agent . This opportunity is ideal for a licensed real estate agent who wants to grow their business within a supportive brokerage environment while maintaining the flexibility and independence of an independent contractor. In addition to traditional buyer and seller representation, agents may have the opportunity to participate in the marketing and sale of 10 newly developed townhomes , creating an immediate business opportunity for agents who are ready to prospect, host open houses, follow up with buyers, and help convert interest into successful sales. This is an independent contractor position, not a salaried employment position. Compensation is commission-based, with agents paid from successfully closed real estate transactions in accordance with the brokerage's commission structure and independent contractor agreement. Responsibilities Assist clients with buying, selling, leasing, and renting real estate. Conduct property showings, open houses, buyer tours, and listing appointments. Prepare and present offers, counteroffers, contracts, and related transaction documents. Negotiate terms on behalf of clients while maintaining professionalism and compliance with applicable laws. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote listings across online platforms, social media, direct outreach, and other channels. Maintain knowledge of local market conditions, real estate laws, fair housing regulations, and industry standards. Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, cooperating agents, attorneys, lenders, inspectors, and other transaction parties. Maintain organized records of client communications, leads, transactions, and brokerage-required documentation. Build and manage your own client base through prospecting, networking, referrals, and marketing. Qualifications Active real estate salesperson or broker license, or willingness to obtain one before affiliating with the brokerage. Real estate sales experience is preferred, but motivated new agents will be considered. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while following brokerage policies and legal requirements. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using technology, digital marketing tools, MLS systems, and social media. Knowledge of fair housing rules and real estate contracts. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable. Compensation and Relationship This position is structured as a traditional real estate broker/agent affiliation. Agents are independent contractors and are not employees of the brokerage. Compensation is paid by commission from closed transactions, subject to the terms of the brokerage's independent contractor agreement and commission schedule. Agents are responsible for their own business development, licensing requirements, professional expenses, taxes, and compliance with applicable real estate laws and brokerage policies.
