Note This role requires an active Connecticut Bar license and at least 2 years of hands-on experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate. Elder law experience is a hard requirement. Job Description Conduct legal research and analysis related to estate planning, trust administration, probate, and fiduciary tax matters Draft and review wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, briefs, and related estate planning documents Administer trusts and estates, including fiduciary tax considerations Represent clients in probate court hearings and related proceedings Prepare for hearings by organizing evidence and developing legal strategies Communicate clearly with clients, providing practical legal guidance in plain English Manage an independent caseload in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with partners, attorneys, and staff on complex matters Stay current on changes in estate planning, elder law, probate, and tax regulations Participate in client development, networking, and firm growth initiatives Deliver presentations on estate planning and elder law topics as needed Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Connecticut 2+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate Elder law experience required Fiduciary tax planning experience strongly preferred Prior probate court hearing experience Strong legal research, writing, and proofreading skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Why You Will Love Working Here You will join a team that values professionalism, collaboration, and service.
