  • Junior Partner I'm currently conducting a highly selective search on behalf of a nationally recognized private client practice seeking to add an International Estate Planning Attorney with at least 5 years of sophisticated cross-border planning experience.
Locations:
Stamford, Connecticut | Naples, Florida | Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding technical ability, exceptional drafting skills, and experience serving sophisticated private clients on matters involving international wealth preservation and succession planning.
Required Experience:
  • Strong academic credentials with a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and an active member in good standing in the Connecticut and/or New York or Florida bars.
  • Minimum 5 years of sophisticated cross-border planning experience.
  • Advising U.S. individuals and families with foreign assets on tax-efficient ownership and wealth transfer structures while coordinating seamlessly with foreign advisors.
  • Structuring estate plans involving foreign beneficiaries and non-U.S. citizen spouses.
  • Counseling clients on expatriation, long-term residency abandonment, and the associated U.S. transfer and income tax implications.
  • Advising on ownership structures for foreign businesses and international investments.
  • Designing and drafting sophisticated estate planning documents for clients with cross-border assets and beneficiaries.
  • Advising non-U.S. individuals investing in the United States, including real estate acquisitions, pre-immigration planning, and tax-efficient wealth transfers to U.S. beneficiaries.
  • Administering estates with multinational assets and navigating the complexities of cross-border estate administration.
  • Counseling clients regarding U.
S. reporting obligations relating to foreign trusts, investments, gifts, and financial interests.
