What You'll Do:
Work closely with the Property Manager to ensure full program compliance, including reviewing activity reports, conducting property audits, and maintaining current knowledge of HUD, IRS, Bond, and Tax Credit requirements Obtain and review applications from new residents and annual re-certifications, collecting any missing information and coordinating with property staff as needed Process all income and asset verification forms, accurately calculate annual income, complete Tenant Income Certifications, and submit paperwork to the Compliance Department for approval Report move-in, move-out, and transfer information to appropriate parties and review weekly and monthly compliance reports for accurate reporting Forecast month-end and quarterly compliance numbers and communicate property bond status with on-site staff Contact residents, employers, and financial institutions via phone, email, letters, and in person to build rapport and ensure timely receipt of required information Utilize Yardi and IQ platforms for property management, resident communications, reporting, and leasing support Stay informed on LIHTC programs and industry updates through resources such as LinkedIn and the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation Manage property social media platforms, support resident events, and assist with outreach marketing efforts to promote community engagement and property visibility Assist in training new bond compliance managers and staff Perform general clerical duties, maintain strict confidentiality of all records and resident files, and provide overall administrative and operational support Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
What you'll need: 2+ years previous compliance experience with LITHC/Tax credit at properties of 200+ units. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Knowledge of real estate management principles and techniques. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Ability to train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Knowledge of HUD and IRS policies and regulations, as well as Bond and Tax Credit requirements.
