Your primary focus will be to build rapport with prospective residents to secure new residents as well as create relationships with current residents to keep retention rates high. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 9am - 6pm with an hour break. In addition to the hourly compensation, we offer a commission per new lease. Responsibilities Present apartments and townhomes to prospective residents and market the home in a persuasive manner, overcome objections to maintain a strong closing ratio Develop knowledge of the community and the surrounding area to understand the competitors as well as the features that should attract prospects to the community Walk ready vacant units to ensure that it is presentable and attractive to a prospective resident, assess the curb appeal on the tour path to/from vacant units Screen, review, and approve resident applications based on fair housing standards Utilize marketing sites such as Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and Apartments.com to advertise and promote available units Take maintenance requests as needed and follow-up on resident satisfaction upon completion of the requests Follow-up on resident renewals to maintain the resident retention Skills Proven working experience as a leasing consultant Good knowledge of leasing rules and regulations Proven track record of successful sales Basic understanding of MS Office Well-versed in marketing and sales techniques Customer-focused approach
