Role Description The Settlement Processor - Real Estate is a full-time, on-site role based in Waldorf, MD. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing settlement files, coordinating with lenders, real estate agents, and clients, and ensuring all loan and title documents are accurate and complete prior to closing. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and verifying financial and property information, managing loan processing timelines, resolving document discrepancies, and maintaining organized files for each transaction. The Settlement Processor will communicate regularly with customers to provide updates, answer questions, and deliver a professional experience throughout the settlement process. The role also involves supporting settlement officers during closings, complying with company and regulatory standards, and performing general administrative duties related to real estate settlements. Qualifications Experience working with loan documents and familiarity with mortgage lending practices and terminology. Background in loan processing, including reviewing, tracking, and coordinating documents for residential real estate transactions. Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and internal team members. Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple files, deadlines, and regulatory requirements. Prior experience in title, escrow, or real estate settlement environments preferred. Proficiency with standard office software and ability to learn industry-specific settlement and title systems. Ability to work on-site in Waldorf, MD, collaborate with colleagues, and manage time in a fast-paced setting. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate, finance, or paralegal studies is beneficial.
