Job Description

Verrill is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Real Estate Practice Group in our Portland Maine office. Position Overview and Responsibilities This role is a full-time, hourly position supporting attorneys in our Real Estate Practice Group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Revising and proofreading legal documents and correspondence Handling of opening new matters, conflict checks and billing activities Processing invoices and expense reports Maintaining paper and electronic files Calendaring, tracking deadlines, and managing day-to-day workflow Conducting general research Serving as a point of contact for client calls and correspondence Assisting clients and responding promptly with the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment Performing other administrative functions with flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects and assignments Experience and Qualifications Relevant real estate experience Advanced computer skills (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Attention to detail Strong organizational skills Project management skills Ability to prioritize tasks successfully Compensation and Benefits The anticipated hourly range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00. This is Verrill's good faith estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of this posting for the indicated location. Final base compensation will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to skills, experience, job-related qualifications, and other market factors. This range represents only one component of a comprehensive compensation and benefits package at Verrill. Verrill is an equal opportunity employer.
