Job Description
Part-Time Leasing Agent Needed! Are you a people person? Have experience in sales or the property management industry, or want to start a new career in the property management industry and work with a great team and enjoy great benefits? SPV is a successful property in Sanford with lots of commission and bonus opportunities and we are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with great people skills and fantastic social media skills. Yardi experience is a huge plus, as is experience in the apartment industry or any sales industry. Did we mention there are significant bonus opportunities and insurance benefits? The Leasing Consultants are the primary sales representatives at our 408 unit multi-family apartment facility. While this is a part-time position now, there is room for it to grow into a full-time position with the full benefits package. Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Promotes property using established brand guidelines through social media and other advertising Greets visitors, prospective residents, current residents and vendors Effectively shows the amenities and benefits of the property to prospectives Leases vacant and upcoming vacant units by qualifying potential residents as per Fair Housing Guidelines and company policies and procedures Inspects model, available market ready and newly leased (soon to move in) apartments and communicates related service needs to supervisor Promotes positive resident relations and aids in creating a community culture Responds to all inquiries from prospective residents Applies sales techniques to schedule tours (in person or virtual) of the property and close leases Collects required information from prospective residents to qualify residents for a lease and collects initial rent and deposit payments Other duties as assigned Prepares all leasing documents and maintains detailed and accurate resident files as instructed The ideal candidate will possess the following: High School Diploma or equivalent Social media skills as they pertain to marketing of the community Competence in personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as Yardi or similar software Strong customer service, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and the ability to be pleasant even in unpleasant situations Sales skills The ability to prioritize tasks and pay attention to details A professional appearance Team oriented with the ability to work independently when necessary Ability to develop a thorough knowledge of lease terms, rental rates, floor plans, amenities, specifications and community policies Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
