Job Description
About Us Skylands Legal LLC is a tech-forward law firm in Sparta, NJ focused on Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Probate. We invest in modern systems and workflows to cut down on administrative drag so our team can focus on what matters: giving clients a clear, well-supported experience during some of the most significant moments of their lives. We're hiring our next intake and case management lead. No prior law firm experience is required — we'll train you on the legal mechanics. What we're looking for is character: initiative, attention to detail, comfort with technology, and the judgment to handle sensitive situations well. Why Apply Here Modern workspace. We invest in good systems so you can spend your time on meaningful work, not busywork. Room to grow. This is a foundational role in a small, expanding firm — we're looking for someone who wants to build something long-term with us, not a short-term stop. The Role Firm-Wide Intake Lead — You'll be the first point of contact for prospective clients across all our practice areas, guiding them through initial questions with care and independently managing the consultation calendar. Estate Planning Case Manager — You'll own data integrity and client follow-up for our Estate Planning practice: precise data entry, routine outreach to gather missing information, and making sure no file sits idle. What You Bring Attention to detail. You catch small errors unprompted and have a natural instinct to double-check your own work. Reliability. You show up on time, meet deadlines, and treat an organized inbox as a matter of professional pride. Tech adaptability. You pick up new software quickly and are comfortable in a fast-moving digital office. Composure with hard moments. Our clients are often navigating major life transitions, grief, or family stress. You can sit with someone in a hard moment, stay steady, and guide them to the next practical step. Discretion. You handle sensitive financial and personal information with sound judgment and clear professional boundaries.
