Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a Real Estate Operations Assistant to support a growing real estate business in New York's Capital Region. This hybrid role combines administrative support, property management coordination, and occasional hands-on property tasks. No two days are exactly the same. One day you may be scheduling contractors and organizing documents, while the next you may be checking on a property, meeting a prospective tenant, or picking up supplies. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, is highly organized, proactive, reliable, and an excellent communicator. They are resourceful, comfortable working independently, and able to interact confidently and respectfully with tenants, vendors, and contractors. Most importantly, they are willing to jump in wherever needed and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves. This position is currently part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time role. Responsibilities Administrative & Office Support Manage property listings Assist with tenant and vendor communications Support marketing, social media and website maintenance Conduct real estate market research to inform rental rates and property acquisition Manage emails, phone calls, and scheduling Develop and manage leasing policies and protocols, Track maintenance requests and project timelines Respond to occasional after-hours / weekend support issues Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers Organize digital and paper files Assist with bookkeeping, invoices, and receipts Property & Operations Support Visit local properties as needed Meet contractors and vendors on-site Conduct basic property inspections and walkthroughs Pick up supplies and run local errands Assist with property turnovers and move-in/move-out preparation Perform light cleaning and organization tasks Complete minor touch-up painting and basic handyman tasks when appropriate Complete basic landscaping tasks and snow removal Qualifications Required Utilization of (learning as necessary) AI and AI agents to facilitate many of the above administrative responsibilities Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and problem solve Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally Preferred Basic handyman skills Experience with real estate or property management To Apply Please submit: A resume Please briefly describe (150-300 words) why you are interested in this position, your relevant qualifications and work experience, and your current availability.
