Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Apartment Leasing Agent/Assistant to join our property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment, manage lease agreements efficiently, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants promptly and professionally, providing comprehensive tours of available apartments and community amenities Manage lease or rental agreement processes, including application screening, credit checks, and document preparation using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite Maintain accurate data entry and filing of leasing documents, contracts, and tenant records in compliance with legal standards and company policies Assist with property marketing efforts, upselling available units and promoting lease renewals to maximize occupancy rates Handle client communication via phone, email, and in person, ensuring clear, courteous interactions aligned with excellent customer service standards Coordinate with maintenance teams to address property upkeep issues and facilitate smooth move-ins and move-outs Stay informed about fair housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other legal requirements to ensure compliance in all leasing activities Qualifications Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles, preferably within property management companies or facilities management environments Strong knowledge of property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities Solid understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and contracts management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and correspondence Experience in sales or upselling within a real estate or property context to enhance occupancy rates and lease renewals Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Team management skills are desirable for coordinating with colleagues and supporting office operations Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating welcoming communities through exceptional leasing services.
