  • Full-time Real Estate Escrow Closer Heritage Title of Oklahoma, LLC 580-297-5200 Job Details Heritage Title is in need of a full-time Escrow Officer to work in our Ponca City office.
We are an attorney-owned title company with locations in Enid and Ponca City. We service clients with purchase/sale transactions, refinance needs, and 1031 exchanges. We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible Escrow Officer to handle real estate transactions by establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, and processing documents for closings and completing settlements with established policies and procedures. Full Job Description
  • The Escrow Closer is responsible for completing real estate transactions by determining requirements from title commitment, clearing the title, preparing, and reviewing closing documents, and disbursing funds.
  • Prepares Closing Disclosure and ALTA settlement statements with all accurate prorations/adjustments including but not limited to real estate taxes, invoices, commissions, HOA fees, payoff of any liens as evidenced by title search.
  • Determines escrow requirements by reviewing buyer, seller, and lender instructions.
  • Resolves title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against properties.
  • Completes the closing transaction documents by assembling documents, reviewing papers with parties, explaining procedures, checking documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Once the file is closed, the closer is responsible for satisfying all funding requirements prior to depositing and disbursing the funds.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements by adhering and enforcing requirements. Special Skills
  • Closer must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Requires ability to work independently and or within a team structure.
  • Must have the ability to recognize the need to escalate matters when necessary.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as credits, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Must have positive, clear communication skills and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to adapt quickly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred and prior knowledge of SoftPro, a plus.
Requirements:
  • Title closing experience (preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Softpro experience is a plus
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Positive and team oriented
