Job Description

Eko/WDC Properties is a Portland‑based owner‑operator and development company seeking a Portfolio Leasing Specialist to support leasing operations across a portfolio of over 25 multifamily communities in the Portland Metro and Vancouver markets. This is a centralized leasing role based out of our corporate office. Our communities do not have onsite leasing offices or onsite leasing staff. All leasing activity, including lead management, touring, follow‑up, applications, and conversion, is handled through our centralized leasing department. This role is intended for an experienced leasing professional who can operate with minimal supervision, bring discipline and urgency to the leasing process, and help stabilize and improve portfolio performance. Strong organization, follow‑up, and sales execution are essential for success. Responsibilities and Duties Own the full leasing cycle from first contact through move‑in across a multi‑property portfolio Convert inbound and outbound leads into signed leases through consistent follow‑up and strong closing techniques Schedule, coordinate, and conduct property tours throughout the Portland Metro and Vancouver areas Independently manage your own touring calendar, daily priorities, and prospect pipeline Maintain proactive communication with prospects, applicants, and approved residents throughout the application and screening process to prevent drop‑off Accurately track prospect activity, application status, and follow‑up in company systems Meet or exceed established leasing performance expectations, including phone and tour‑to‑lease conversion goals Support portfolio‑wide leasing and marketing initiatives designed to drive traffic and occupancy Communicate with internal teams to identify issues that may impact leasing success, including unit readiness and curb appeal observations Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and all company policies and procedures Regular travel between properties is required; a reliable, insured vehicle is required Perform other related duties as assigned in support of leasing operations and portfolio performance Who Will Succeed in This Role The ideal candidate: Has at least 3 years of multifamily leasing experience ; experience supporting multiple properties is strongly preferred Is a proven closer who understands that disciplined follow‑up drives leasing results Is highly organized and able to manage tours, prospects, and applications independently Thrives in a fast‑paced, performance‑based environment with clear expectations Is comfortable working independently in a centralized leasing model without onsite support Takes ownership of outcomes and approaches leasing as a sales‑driven role This Role Is Not for You If… You are seeking an onsite leasing position at a single property You struggle with time management, organization, or follow‑through You prefer a role without leasing metrics or sales accountability You are uncomfortable managing your own schedule and workload You rely on others to maintain prospect follow‑up or drive results Qualifications and Skills
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Minimum 3 years of multifamily leasing or property management experience required Demonstrated ability to manage leasing activity across multiple properties in a fast‑paced environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage touring schedules, prospect follow‑up, and application pipelines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with property management and leasing software, online marketing platforms, and basic computer applications Comfortable using a mobile device to occasionally record short video walkthroughs of apartment units and property features only for marketing and social media use (on‑camera appearance is not required) Valid driver's license with a reliable, insured vehicle High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Compensation:
$21.00-$22.50 per hour (DOE) plus performance‑based commission Commission eligibility and earnings are tied to individual leasing performance and achievement of established goals. Commission is not guaranteed and may vary month to month based on results. Commission plans may be subject to eligibility requirements and plan terms.
