Job Description

Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join our Altoona office. This role supports our law partners by delivering thoughtful, people-first legal services to individuals and families. The ideal candidate values meaningful client relationships, strong teamwork, and high-quality work that delivers peace of mind. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal research and analysis related to estate planning and wealth protection planning
  • Draft, review, and execute estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Meet with clients to understand goals and provide tailored recommendations
  • Explain legal concepts clearly and compassionately
  • Manage case progression and maintain consistent client communication
  • Review and oversee work prepared by paralegals and support staff
  • Conduct client review meetings to ensure alignment with goals
  • Assist with estate administration tasks and filings
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Participate in community outreach and relationship-building
  • Identify process improvements to enhance client experience
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active Pennsylvania law license
  • 2+ years experience preferred in estate planning or elder law
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
