Key Responsibilities Estate Planning :
Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
Tax Planning:
Provide advice on tax-efficient strategies for wealth transfer, including gift tax, estate tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.
Trust Administration:
Advise beneficiaries and trustees on the administration of trusts, including preparing trust accountings, ensuring compliance with trust terms, managing trust assets, and related income and transfer tax issues.
Probate:
Guide clients through the probate process, including filing necessary documents with the court, managing estate assets, and distributing assets to beneficiaries.
Client Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing legal advice and support tailored to their specific needs. Qualifications Successful candidate would possess the following: License to practice law in California with no record of discipline 1-6 years of experience in Trusts and Estates in California Candidates with knowledge and experience in (or an interest and willingness to learn) one or more of the following will pique our interest: - Related business and real property issues - Tax Expertise Willingness to take on increasing responsibility, possess excellent writing and communication skills, as well as technical expertise Superior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, research skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Enthusiastic, collaborative, and thoughtful Ties to or an interest in living in Sonoma County are preferred Benefits We offer competitive compensation and benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a great team.
