•You do not have previous professional Legal Assistant experience within an estates and trusts practice You are not comfortable drafting, proofreading, formatting, and finalizing detailed legal documents You have difficulty managing multiple attorneys, deadlines, calendars, and competing priorities You are unwilling to assist with time entry, billing, client intake, conflict checks, and file management You are not willing to become a Pennsylvania Notary Public if you are not already You are not able to commute reliably to the Downtown Pittsburgh on a full time basis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Previous professional Legal Assistant experience 3+ years of Estates & Trusts experience Experience preparing / formatting Wills, Trusts, and other estate-planning documents Current Pennsylvania Notary Public commission OR willingness to become a
Notary DUTIES:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys within the Estates & Trusts practice group Draft, revise, format, proofread, and finalize correspondence, memoranda, agreements, Wills, Trusts, and other practice-specific documents Enter attorney time, generate reports, monitor incomplete entries, and assist with closing timekeeping periods Support the billing cycle by reviewing client bills, making requested edits, correcting formatting or grammatical issues, and helping resolve billing discrepancies Process new-client intake, conflict checks, engagement letters, retainer letters, file creation, and new-matter documentation
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Do you have experience filing documents with Pennsylvania State Courts or Orphans' Court? Do you have experience entering attorney time and assisting with legal billing? Do you have experience with client intake, conflict checks, engagement letters, and opening new matters? Do you have experience using iManage or another legal document-management system? Are you currently a Pennsylvania Notary Public, or would you be willing to become one?
