We are seeking a remote Experienced Tax Associate to support complex real estate partnership tax engagements in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of partnership tax compliance for a portfolio of real estate clients, including preparation and review of returns, K-1s, and supporting workpapers. You will serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients and work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery during tight deadlines. In addition to compliance work, this role includes tax research, problem-solving, and exposure to advisory initiatives within a growing real estate-focused practice.Job duties:
Own preparation and support review of federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065) with a focus on real estate structures Prepare Schedule K-1s, allocations, and supporting workpapers Manage tax data and workflows in GoSystem Tax RS Perform tax analysis and reconciliations using Excel (SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH) Serve as primary client contact for assigned engagements Support tax research, compliance, and process improvement initiatives (including AI-assisted workflows) Requirements Hands-on experience with Form 1065 and Schedule K-1s, including partnership allocations and supporting workpapers Experience working with real estate partnerships, property management companies, or investment structures 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or a real estate-focused tax environment Strong understanding of federal and state income tax compliance for business entities Ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience with GoSystem Tax RS or similar tax software (e.g., ProSystem FX, UltraTax, Lacerte) Exposure to multi-state tax filings or more complex partnership structures Experience using Excel for tax reconciliations (SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH) CPA or EA license (or in progress) We'd Love You If You…. This is a virtual (remote), full-time role that demands availability between 9am-6pm EST Monday-Friday and extended busy season hours. Candidates based in Illinois, Texas, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina are preferred, though qualified applicants from other locations may still be considered.Pay:
