Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Specialist specializing in Title Abstract and Real Estate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of property title information, supporting the seamless processing of real estate transactions. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of quality and integrity in our title abstracting processes, contributing to efficient and reliable real estate services. Responsibilities Review and verify title abstracts, ensuring all property details are accurate and complete according to legal standards and company policies Conduct thorough research using various sources such as public records, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and legal databases to gather pertinent property information Process title documents efficiently, identifying discrepancies or issues that may impact property ownership or transfer Collaborate with law offices, title agents, and other stakeholders to resolve title defects or ambiguities promptly Perform quality checks on title reports to ensure compliance with real estate law and internal quality standards Maintain detailed records of research activities, findings, and corrections for audit purposes Assist in training team members on best practices for research, title processing, and quality control procedures Requirements Proven experience in real estate law, title abstracting, or related legal research roles within a law office or title company environment Strong research skills with the ability to navigate public records, GIS tools, and legal databases effectively Knowledge of title processing procedures and standards in the real estate industry Familiarity with GIS technology for property mapping and spatial analysis is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams Ability to interpret legal documents accurately and apply relevant laws to ensure compliance Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Preferred:
Multi-state title experience Familiarity with commercial transactions Knowledge of ALTA standards
Pay:
$35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
