Settlement & Estate Planning Associate AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are a well-established Connecticut law firm, on the look out for a self-motivated Settlement & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join us in our Hartford or New Haven office. Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience drafting estate planning documents, designing and implementing estate plans, advising fiduciaries, administering trusts and estates, and researching related tax and legal issues.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and familiesComplex estate settlement and trust administrationFiduciary litigation and counselingBusiness succession planningDesigning estate plansQualificationsJuris Doctorate from an accredited law school3+ years of experience in estate and settlement planningActive license to practice in the state of ConnecticutExceptional writing and interpersonal skillsSound judgment and initiativeAbility to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, staff, and fiduciary managersBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance, disability coverage, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Generous PTO, paid holidays, sick time, bereavement leave, and parental leave401(k) plan(employer contributions)Hybrid work options available on a case-by-case basis
