Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring each visitor receives exceptional service while efficiently managing leasing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and has a passion for helping people find their perfect home. Responsibilities Greet prospective residents warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available properties, highlighting features and amenities to generate interest. Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing, ensuring all documentation complies with Fair Housing regulations and legal standards. Utilize property management software such as Appfolio and Bluemoon to input data accurately, track leads, and maintain detailed records of all interactions. Conduct thorough background checks, including credit reports and rental history Negotiate lease terms effectively while maintaining compliance with landlord-tenant law and contractual obligations. Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities. Handle conflict resolution professionally, addressing resident concerns promptly and maintaining positive relationships through excellent customer service and phone etiquette. Requirements Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles. Familiarity with property management software such as Appfolio and Bluemoon, or similar platforms; proficiency in data entry, filing, and office administrative tasks including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, contracts, legal administrative procedures, and facilities management principles. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective conflict management and negotiation abilities. Previous experience in sales or upselling within a real estate or office environment is preferred. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of leasing operations. Professional demeanor with strong phone etiquette and communication skills; comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
