Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are a small niche real estate company seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. In this role you will help oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver outstanding customer service to residents, landlords, and others. Your proactive approach will help maintain property standards, enhance landlord and tenant satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of our community and our business.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer all day-to-day operations including leasing, maintenance, and inspection of residences.
  • Make recommendations and take appropriate actions to prepare homes for market-ready status.
  • Support the leasing process by engaging with prospective tenants and landlords via phone, e-mail, and in person communications.
  • Assist in leasing activities including property tours, lease preparation, marketing, and signing.
  • Process lease applications, making recommendations, and communicating results to prospects.
  • Collect rent in a timely manner, support rent collection processes including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records using property management software (Appfolio).
  • Handle inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve resident situations, file evictions when necessary, and be informed of local laws and policies.
  • Ensure community guidelines and standards are being met.
  • Collaborate with property maintenance team to ensure prompt responses and completion of resident service requests in line with company standards. Facilitate communication between residents, maintenance staff, and vendors.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to monitor condition of property.
  • Maintain organized legal administrative files, lease agreements and other documentation related to property management.
  • Complete monthly reports in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Stay informed about local market conditions, making recommendations for property marketing.
Requirements:
  • Real estate license or willingness to become licensed.
  • Experience in data entry, filling, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of property management software (Appfolio preferred), demonstrate excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles.
  • Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and effectively.
  • Able to adhere to set and variable work schedule, including weekends and emergencies if required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while demonstrating strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
