Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trust & Estates Associate Attorney to join one of our client firms. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters who is looking to grow within a sophisticated and client-focused practice. The role offers direct client interaction, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with high-net-worth individuals and families. Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies, wealth preservation, and asset protection matters
- Handle trust administration matters from inception through distribution
- Assist clients with probate and conservatorship proceedings
- Prepare and review court filings, petitions, and related probate documents
- Conduct legal research related to trust, estate, and tax matters
- Communicate regularly with clients, financial advisors, accountants, and fiduciaries
- Assist with business succession and charitable planning strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely billing records
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client service Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in trust and estates, estate planning, probate, or related practice areas preferred
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active admission and good standing with the applicable state bar
- Experience drafting estate planning documents and handling trust administration matters
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Experience with high-net-worth estate planning or tax planning is a plus
