Job Description

Gpac has partnered with a law firm in Madison that is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for challenging work, a collaborative environment, and a long-term opportunity with a clear path to partnership. Experience with trust and estates litigation is ideal, but the firm is open to attorneys coming from other areas of civil litigation who have strong litigation skills and an interest in developing their practice in this area. What You'll Do Manage litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution. Represent clients in trust, estate, probate, and other civil litigation matters. Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations, hearings, and trials. Develop effective litigation strategies based on the unique needs of each case. Advise clients on complex legal issues and keep them informed throughout the process. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional legal representation. What We're Looking For J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license and good standing with the Wisconsin state bar. 5+ years of litigation experience. Strong background in civil litigation; trust and estates experience is preferred but not required. Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload. Strong communication and client relationship skills. Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to provide excellent client service.
