Job Description
Overview This job includes delivering jet skis to the lake, launching them at the boat ramp, meeting customers, helping them get checked in, taking payments, collecting customer information, going over basic rental instructions, and making sure the equipment is ready before the customer leaves. At the end of the rental, you will help pick up the jet skis, load them back onto the trailer, check them in, and inspect them for any damage or missing items. This person will also help manage reservations and keep the booking software updated. This includes adjusting bookings, checking rental details, updating customer information, confirming payments, making sure the schedule is accurate, and helping keep rentals organized. Responsibilities Delivering jet skis to and from the lake Launching and retrieving jet skis at the boat ramp Meeting customers and helping with check-in/check-out Taking customer payments and collecting required information Updating jet ski booking software and rental reservations Confirming rental times, customer details, and payment status Taking videos/photos of jet skis before and after rentals Cleaning jet skis after rentals Fueling jet skis at the gas station Checking plugs, keys, anchor bags, life jackets, and safety equipment Organizing life jackets, ropes, anchors, gas cans, and other rental equipment Helping keep the shop, trailer, and rental area clean and organized Occasional basic maintenance such as oil changes and simple equipment checks Reporting any damage, issues, or missing items Making sure rentals are ready for the next customer Qualifications Previous experience in outdoor work environments, hospitality, retail sales, or event venues is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in public speaking scenarios Knowledge of safety protocols, CPR certification, first aid training, and lifeguard experience are preferred but not required; training will be provided if needed Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and process payments efficiently Comfortable performing manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of jet skis and related equipment Basic math skills for transaction processing and operational tasks are essential Demonstrated conflict management skills to resolve guest concerns effectively while maintaining a positive environment The right person will be dependable, on time, organized, comfortable driving a trailer, comfortable working at the boat ramp, and able to communicate well with customers. This is an outdoor, hands-on role, so you must be okay working in the heat, around water, and in a fast-paced rental environment. Experience with boats, jet skis, trailers, customer service, booking software, or basic mechanical work is a plus, but being reliable, careful, organized, and willing to learn is most important.
