Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected to begin April 2026 or soon thereafter. Not to exceed 89 days.Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Student Development Coordinator of Kipuka Native Hawaiian Student Center, provides direct academic, career and financial aid advising for Native Hawaiian returning and transfer students in consultation with relevant units in the UH Hilo Division of Student Affairs. Coordinate and facilitate the Kukulu Transfer Student cohort program. Coordinate with UH System campus partners to support students transferring to UH Hilo Conduct, coordinate, and evaluate student success and development workshops and activities. Hire, train, supervise and evaluate peer mentors to assist implementation of programs and activities. Oversee and maintain data collection for student participants. Work in multiple work settings and maintain a variable work schedule as required. Other duties as assigned (Project based support)Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in any field from an accredited university and 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for student success programming in higher education; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indications. Demonstrated knowledge of UH Hilo programs and services. Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of Hawaiian educational programs, activities, and resources. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.To Apply:
