Job Description

Job Summary Coordinates all rental activities in an assigned region. Supports telephone and walk-in customers with construction and industrial equipment rentals. Verifies that equipment is inspected before and after rental and ensures all equipment is ready for rental. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities Processes regional rental orders. Bills customers and processes rental returns. Maintains files on all rental jobs. Manages re-rent purchase orders and the reconciliation of accounts payable invoices for re-rents. Handles cycle counts and inventory asset conversions for all rental products. Ensures inventory is repaired and maintained. Monitors rental transactions to track lost or stolen equipment. Provides support to Account Managers regarding rental equipment. Communicates problems to sales representatives and customers, such as shortages, delivery issues, and damages. Responds to customer issues and escalates concerns as needed. Offers guidance and feedback to Rental Coordinators. Nature and Scope May modify processes to resolve situations. Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process. Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority. Work Environment Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Education and Experience Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
