Full Job Description Description:
The CSR/Rental Clerk is responsible for processing rental equipment transactions, inspecting vehicles, and delivering a positive customer experience. This role ensures all equipment is properly documented, safe, and ready for customer use or return. This is a
PART-TIME
position, working Saturday (initially) and Sunday (potentially), 8-5.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and complete rental check-out procedures, including verifying identification, explaining rental agreements, and processing payments. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections at both check-out and return, documenting condition, mileage, and fuel levels. Check in returned equipment, assess for damage, and accurately input findings into the system. Communicate any issues or damage to management and assist with damage documentation as needed. Maintain lot organization by staging trucks, trailers, and equipment for availability. Provide basic customer support, including answering questions, resolving minor concerns, and offering add-on products such as moving supplies or protection options.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Customer service experience required; retail, automotive, or rental experience is a plus. Basic computer skills and ability to learn rental systems quickly. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes consistently. Valid driver's license and ability to move and park trucks/trailers safely. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
Key Performance Indicators:
Accurate check-in/check-out documentation with minimal errors. Timely processing of rentals and returns. Low rate of missed damage documentation. Positive customer feedback and upsell conversion on add-on services. The successful candidate must be eligible to legally work in the United States, age 18 years or older, and have a high school diploma/GED. Current and valid driver's license is required.
