Our client is a trusted distributor and solutions provider in the piping and industrial products industry. With decades of experience, they are recognized for delivering reliable products, innovative solutions, and exceptional customer service across energy, utilities, and infrastructure markets. They're seeking a Rental Associate to add their team in the Grand Prairie, Tx area! The Rental Associate completes the end-to-end rental process for McElroy fusion equipment, ensuring prompt delivery, efficient pickup, and accurate documentation to meet customer requirements and project deadlines. This position maintains high standards of equipment performance through thorough pre- and post-rental inspections, basic troubleshooting, and close coordination with the repair team to reduce downtime. Additionally, this position delivers exceptional customer service and technical support by guiding clients in selecting the appropriate equipment and equipping them with the knowledge needed for successful operation. Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR, physical, and drug screening as a requirement for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Equipment Clean and prepare McElroy fusion equipment to ensure it meets quality standards prior to rental. Inspect returned equipment for damage or missing components and promptly report findings to the Rental Coordinator. Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment during deliveries and returns, always ensuring safe handling. Help wrap and package equipment securely for safe transport. Maintain accurate documentation, including pre- and post-rental photos and detailed inspection reports. Maintenance Use company tools and equipment responsibly, ensuring proper care and maintenance. Tag and stage equipment according to rental and work orders to support efficient workflow. Perform routine maintenance such as checking hydraulic hoses, fluid levels, and cleaning components to ensure equipment readiness. Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as directed, contributing to efficient turnaround times. Warehouse Keep the rental yard and shop area clean, organized, and safe for all team members. Monitor inventory of consumables (e.g., grease, cleaning supplies) and notify the Rental Coordinator when stock needs replenishing.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support inventory management by counting, organizing, and tracking rental machines and accessories. All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
Valid driver's license required. Forklift Operator license preferred.
EXPERIENCE
At least six months of experience working in a rental shop, warehouse or construction utility role is preferred.
