Job description Team Member - Cash Register Clerk Primary purpose of the Cash Register Clerk position: Cash Register Clerks perform a variety of tasks related to varying areas of the convenience store including customer service, cash register duties, general housekeeping, merchandising stocking, and other related functions in the daily operations Job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Operate the cash register, scan items, bag merchandise and make/provide accurate change for purchases. Comply with federal and state laws by requesting personal identification from customers who are purchasing tobacco and/or alcohol. Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers. Provide fast and Friendly service Stock shelves with products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times. Complete indoor and outdoor housekeeping functions including cleaning, dusting, mopping, emptying trash, sweeping, picking up trash, and keeping sidewalks / parking lot clean and safe. Strictly adhere to all TAB's Market programs, policies, and procedures

Requirements Experience:

Experience in food service or retail environment helpful Skills include but are not limited to: Strong commitment to teamwork Strong communication skills, including he ability to professionally communicate verbally to customers Ethical, honest, trustworthy, respectful, compassionate, supportive and patient Flexible and adaptable to change Occasionally lift weights up to 20 lbs. Ability to perform the following physical behaviors throughout their shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching above the shoulder Ability to perform the following physical behaviors occasionally during their shift: bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing and reaching below waist.
