Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Pawn Broker and Sales Associate, where you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional customer service while managing pawn transactions and retail sales. In this energetic role, you will evaluate items for pawn or resale, assist customers with product knowledge, and ensure smooth store operations. You will be expected to sell firearms, tools, electronics, jewelry, and other items commonly found in pawnshops. We can fill in the gaps in your knowledge base, but it would be very helpful if you have a background with firearms/hunting/outdoors. Responsibilities Conduct appraisals of customer items for pawn or resale value, ensuring fair and accurate assessments. Assist customers with product demonstrations and provide detailed information about store merchandise. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and managing retail math calculations. Promote store products through upselling techniques and suggest additional items to enhance customer satisfaction. Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean, attractive, and well-organized. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone etiquette and in person, fostering positive relationships. Supervise or assist in supervising team members when necessary, ensuring smooth daily operations. Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits of various items. Maintain accurate records of pawn loans, sales, and inventory movements following company procedures. Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in person and over the phone. Previous experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions. Knowledge of retail store product merchandising and inventory stocking practices. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership capabilities within a retail environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases more effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on friendly interactions and problem-solving. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations. Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Experience in grocery store or retail environments is beneficial but not required; a positive attitude is essential! $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
