Position Overview We are actively seeking a friendly, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Sales Associate / Pawnbroker to join our team. In this role, you will be greeting customers, facilitating pawn transactions, closing sales, and delivering a standout retail experience.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service:
Warmly greet in-store customers and handle phone inquiries with excellent service and professionalism.
Transactions :
Accurately process sales, pawn loans, check cashing, and loan extensions.
Operations:
Execute daily opening and closing store procedures; handle cash transactions securely and accurately.
Inventory Management:
Assist with receiving, testing, carrying, and safely storing pawned items and store merchandise.
Store Upkeep:
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop floor and counter area.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside fellow team members to foster a positive, supportive, and growth-oriented work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Age:
High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
Mindset:
A passion for customer service, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Integrity:
High level of ethics, empathy, and dependability. Must be trustworthy handling cash.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems, hardware, and basic software applications.
Communication:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Physical & Logistical :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., maintain a professional appearance, and have reliable transportation to work.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Preferred (Bonus)
Qualifications:
Knowledge or interest in firearms, jewelry, tools, electronics, or musical gear. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus!
Schedule & Hours Schedule:
5-day work week within store hours (Monday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Time).
Note:
As a retail business, working Saturdays is required.
