The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing customer experience and driving sales through effective communication, product demonstrations, and collaboration with team members. As an Ambassador/Associate, you will be responsible for representing our brand positively and ensuring that customers receive exceptional service. Responsibilities Using Montgomery Habitat box truck, follow schedule from supervisor(s) to transport goods to the Habitat ReStore or designated offsite location and/or from customer(s) homes, businesses, churches or other office location. Must have an Alabama drivers license and be eligible to become and fulfill requirements of an authorized driver driving the Montgomery Habitat box truck. In this capacity, the Ambassador/Associate will pick up donated goods and deliver (unload at Montgomery Habitat ReStore), place on retail floor as well as deliver purchased items to customers homes) Rearrange items on the retail sales floor. Conduct daily sales operations to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal customer service. Engage with customers to sell products effectively, utilizing strong communication skills. Operate the POS system and cash register accurately, processing transactions efficiently. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain sales floor appearance and safety. Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of products. Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and inventory management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all products are well-stocked and displayed attractively. Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns. Must have the ability to lift and carry/transport 50 lbs per item comfortably. Other duties assigned by Supervisor or Executive Director/CEO. Experience Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers is desirable, but company will train.. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.
