Job Summary The Showroom Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers, contractors, and designers with product selection and order support within the Inline Electric Supply showroom. This role helps maintain showroom presentation, supports sales activities, and ensures customers receive knowledgeable guidance and a positive experience. The Showroom Associate works closely with Showroom Managers, Sales Teams, and Operations to support daily showroom functions and drive sales growth. Essential Functions The essential functions listed below represent the primary duties required to successfully perform this role. Customer Service & Sales Support Greet customers and assist with product inquiries, selections, and solutions. Provide information on lighting, fixtures, and related products to support customer needs. Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate customer pickups or delivery requests. Maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering professional and responsive service. Showroom Operations & Presentation Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom displays. Assist with merchandising, product placement, and seasonal or promotional updates. Ensure showroom materials, catalogs, and product information are current and accessible. Support opening and closing procedures as directed. Order Coordination & Communication Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Communicate product availability, lead times, and order status to customers. Assist with resolving customer inquiries or issues in a timely manner. Team Collaboration & Process Support Work collaboratively with showroom staff and branch teams to support daily operations. Participate in product training and maintain knowledge of new products and industry trends. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by showroom leadership. Required Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills; ERP or point-of-sale system experience preferred. Interest in lighting, design, or construction products is a plus. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior retail, showroom, or customer service experience preferred. Experience in lighting, home improvement, or construction-related industries is a plus. Valid driver's license with an approved motor vehicle record. Compliance with company drug-free workplace requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
