We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Floor Associate to join our flooring company team. The Sales Floor Associate will be responsible for assisting customers with their flooring needs, guiding them through product selections, and providing accurate measurements of their homes. The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about the latest flooring products and trends. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive shopping experience and helping customers make informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they enter the showroom and offer assistance in identifying their flooring needs. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on flooring products, including hardwood, tile, carpet, vinyl, and laminate, based on customer preferences, budgets, and home décor. Guide customers through the selection process, explaining product features, benefits, and care requirements. Visit customers' homes to perform accurate measurements for flooring installation, using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure precise measurements. Communicate clearly with customers about the measurement process and provide quotes based on measurements and product selections. Follow up with customers regarding their orders, product availability, and installation scheduling. Maintain the showroom, ensuring displays are clean, organized, and stocked with current product samples. Collaborate with the installation team to ensure smooth transitions from sales to installation, providing necessary details and customer preferences. Build lasting relationships with customers by providing excellent service and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction. Stay up to date on product knowledge, company promotions, and industry trends to offer the best advice to customers. Handle basic administrative tasks such as processing sales transactions, maintaining customer records, and updating product inventory in the system. Occasionally lift up to 50lbs (carrying flooring samples, assisting in loading customers with merchandise (lamps, rugs, furniture, art, etc.).
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or the flooring industry is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of flooring products and materials (or the willingness to learn). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Attention to detail, especially when performing home measurements. Proficiency in basic computer applications. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Professional Appearance MUST have clean driving record and pass a background check.
Pay:
From $18.75 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
