Job Description

The Arkansas Craft School is seeking a friendly, organized, and community-minded individual to join our team in a part time Front Desk & Craft Market position. This position is approximately 24 hours per week, working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and plays an important role in the daily operations of the school and craft market. Responsibilities include welcoming visitors, assisting customers, answering questions about workshops and memberships, managing front desk duties, entering new artist inventory into our craft market system, and helping maintain an inviting and organized retail space. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong organizational and communication skills, is comfortable with basic computer tasks, and has an appreciation for handmade art and the mission of the Arkansas Craft School.
Responsibilities Include:
Greeting visitors and assisting customers Manning the front desk and craft market Processing sales and memberships Entering and organizing artist inventory Assisting with general administrative tasks Helping maintain a welcoming environment for students, artists, and visitors Other duties as assigned Experience with retail, customer service, inventory systems, or arts organizations is helpful, but not required. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a creative community and supporting local artists and craftsmanship. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 10+ pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are both indoors and outdoors (occasionally).
