This position is responsible for the seamless execution of daily retail operations, ensuring a high standard of experience for all Campus Store customers. Primary responsibilities include performing customer service duties, sales floor and website maintenance, shipping/receiving, and oversight of student employees' daily tasks. Another component of this role involves assisting customers with tech sales and technology needs within the Apple Computer Store. This position also is responsible to assist with the tasks required in the One Card office. Additionally, this position assists the Campus Store Manager in purchasing tasks, including the creation of purchase orders and invoice processing for branded, tech, and general merchandise. Required Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred Required Experience Customer service experience in a retail environment 1-2 years of retail experience preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of experience operating a Point of Sale system. Experience or high familiarity with Apple products and technology sales. Primary Duties/Essential Functions. Coordinate day-to-day store functions, including front-line customer service and maintaining an organized, high-impact sales floor. Direct the daily tasks of student employees, providing consistent coaching and oversight to ensure operational goals and service standards are met. Operate POS cash registers and the inventory system. Responsible for the accurate operation of cash registers and cash handling Provide administrative and operational support to the Campus Store Manager in the procurement of products. Assist the Manager with creating purchase orders and processing invoices for branded, tech, and general merchandise. Assist the Communications Specialist with the maintenance of the Shopify website's merchandise. Oversee website maintenance to ensure product listings and online store functionality are accurate and up to date. Answer telephones and assist customers at all customer service areas within the Campus Store Assist customers with Campus Store needs, including but not limited to general merchandise, Slingshot course materials, tech, APPLE products, one card and Mail and Print Services. Provide cross-functional support for the One Card office, assisting with administrative tasks and student ID services as required. Maintain a high level of proficiency in store-related merchandise, technology, and hardware inventory. Assist with the receiving of all general and tech merchandise to ensure accuracy against purchase orders. Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, including setting up displays, stocking store merchandise, and restocking returned merchandise. Assists in the organization and maintenance of general merchandise storage areas. Possess a working knowledge of all inventory. Responsible for the daily fulfillment and management of new and existing online web orders. Performs opening and closing procedures of the store if scheduled. Conduct monthly and yearly inventory of general and tech merchandise to ensure appropriate stock levels. Maintains compliance with APU mission, vision, positional statements, and other policies and procedures. Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position. Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on departmental needs. Required to work varied work schedules to include evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of operational needs. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Ability to lift, grasp, 30 - 70 lbs., bend, reach, climb ladders, pull, repetitive arm, hand and wrist/finger motions. Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods. Proficient in Google Apps, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Compensation Grade 7: $19.49 to $22.41 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
