Pink Dot is seeking a motivated, dependable, and ambitious individual to join our team as a Store Clerk with a structured training program designed to prepare the right candidate for advancement into store management. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a career with Pink Dot rather than remain in an entry-level position. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training across multiple areas of the business before learning leadership, team supervision, and daily store operations. Our goal is to develop the right candidate into an Assistant Manager and ultimately prepare them to step into a Store Manager position as business needs require. Training and Career Advancement Phase 1: Deli and Kitchen Operations — First 3 Weeks Work alongside our deli and kitchen team to learn food preparation and daily operations. Receive hands-on training and one-on-one guidance from our chef. Learn deli procedures, food safety, cleanliness, and preparation standards. Develop the skills necessary to independently manage deli operations during the chef's scheduled absence. Phase 2: Cashier and Store Operations — Following 3 Weeks Train in customer service, register operation, and transaction processing. Learn store procedures, merchandising, stocking, and customer relations. Develop the ability to independently handle cashier responsibilities. Learn how the deli and front-of-store operations work together. Phase 3: Assistant Manager Training Receive direct management training from the General Manager. Learn employee supervision, daily operations, inventory control, and ordering. Develop leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills. Learn opening and closing procedures, team coordination, and operational standards. Prepare for increased responsibility and advancement into store management. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service. Assist with deli, kitchen, and cashier operations as needed. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and company standards. Follow food safety and operational procedures. Assist with inventory, stocking, and merchandise organization. Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a willingness to learn. Take on additional responsibilities as training progresses. Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and professional. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to learn multiple areas of the business. Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and food-service environment. Ability to work independently after training. Leadership potential and a desire to grow professionally. Previous retail, deli, kitchen, or supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
