Non-Exempt (Hourly) Position Summary As a Sales Assistant, you will represent

MENDOCINO, INC.

with a helpful, positive demeanor to staff and customers. You are responsible for supporting daily retail operations while ensuring compliance with California cannabis regulations, labor laws, and company policies. This role maintains a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for customers and staff. Responsibilities Offer a friendly and professional greeting to customers Verify customer identification and eligibility in compliance with California law Explain pricing, promotions, ATM availability, and store layout Assist customers with product selection and general inquiries Operate the POS system and handle cash and electronic transactions securely Ask questions to Shift Supervisors if unsure how to proceed Restock shelves and create displays using product at the direction of Shift Supervisor Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid government-issued ID Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 25 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation Compensation & Hours $21.00 per hour, paid weekly This position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime and meal/rest periods as required by California law Overtime is paid in accordance with California law, including time-and-a-half for hours worked over 8 in a workday or over 40 in a workweek, and double time for hours worked over 12 in a workday Meal periods consist of at least 30 uninterrupted, unpaid minutes and must begin before the end of the 5th hour of work. We provide a 60-minute, uninterrupted, unpaid lunch hour Rest breaks are 10-minutes paid for every 4 hours worked and must be recorded using the company's time keeping system, Gusto. During meal and rest periods, employees must be fully relieved of all job duties and responsibilities Employment Status This position is offered on an at-will basis.
