OPTICAL ASSOCIATE

Perspective Optometry is seeking to hire an Optical Associate in La Quinta, CA. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:: Strong customer service skills Strong communication skills Analytical & able to troubleshoot easily Strong computer skills including keyboarding, versatility in software and proficiency in both Mac and Windows OS ABO certification preferred Bilingual certification preferred

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Review Physician's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients Conduct pre-testing including but not limited to data collection, auto-refraction, eye pressure testing and OCT Maestro screening; aid in contact lens training and instruction Assist & educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames Contribute toward sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients' specific needs and desires Manage optical insurance claims and liaise with insurance on an as needed basis in qualifying patient benefits and eligibility Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issue Provide adjustments to fitted patient frames and for walk ins as needed and within the bounds of your skill set For more information please submit resumé and cover letter including any scheduling or salary requirements via email.
