Responsibilities:
Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences. Demonstrate and play pianos to showcase their unique qualities. Provide detailed information about different piano brands and models. Build and maintain customer relationships through consistent and engaging follow-up with the customer. Meet and exceed sales targets.
Job Description:
As a Sales Administrator this is not a purely administrative position, it is an entry point for the right candidate to demonstrate their abilities, learn the business from the ground up, and earn a transition into a Sales Consultant role within 6 to 12 months. Greet and engage showroom visitors, providing a warm, concierge-level first impression Support the sales team with client follow-ups, showroom presentations, and the overall buying experience Handle post-sale coordination including invoicing, payment collection, and delivery scheduling Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and client interactions using internal systems Coordinate with piano movers, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations Oversee daily showroom organization, cleanliness, climate, and general operational needs From there, you will transition into the role of a Sales Consultant, duties include: Guiding discerning clients through the selection and purchase of fine instruments Building and maintaining a personal client portfolio through referrals and ongoing engagement Communicating tonal and technical distinctions between premium piano brands Meeting monthly and quarterly sales goals with professionalism and integrity Support showroom events, recitals and engagement activities while cultivating relationships with various organizations in the Chicago market Maintain showroom display standards that upholds our luxury retail environment
Requirements:
Must have piano knowledge or a musical background. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for music and musical instruments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Sales experience a plus.
