We currently have three shifts per week available: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays from about 10 AM to about 3 PM. Applicants must be able to work the three available shifts, and priority will be given to applicants who are available to occasionally accept more. Once initial training for this position is complete, a greater variety and number of shifts may become available depending on the needs of the business and applicant availability. Weekend availability is non-negotiable. About Us Smug's Pizza McKinleyville is one of our three locally owned take-out pizza joints in Humboldt County. Responsibilities Performing many different tasks over the course of a shift, including money handling, customer service, food handling and preparation, and various cleaning tasks, including dish washing Meeting store operating policies and standards Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs People Who Are Successful in This Position Are punctual, reliable, and responsible Can follow oral and written instructions and request clarification as needed Maintain professional and friendly relationships with coworkers and customers Respond positively to constructive criticism Are receptive to training and learn quickly Are self-starters who can make the most of slow times Enjoy working with the public Are able to effectively work as part of a team Compensation Pay typically begins at the beginning of the pay scale (plus tips). Pay increases when accepting additional responsibility or as a result of exceptional performance. Employees are provided with a free meal per shift and an employee discount.
