We are looking for a full-time Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide timely, accurate, and professional service to customers at the sales counter. You will assist customers with product selection, process orders and payments, and help maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready sales environment. This position plays an important role in supporting customer satisfaction and contributing to overall sales performance. This position is located onsite and is not a remote or hybrid position. Responsibilities/Job Description Provide excellent customer service by assisting retail customers, contractors, and builders with product selection and order processing. Sell merchandise at the counter by utilizing product knowledge to recommend appropriate materials and solutions based on customer needs. Prepare sales orders, process transactions, and handle payments or credit authorizations accurately. Promote additional products and services through suggestive selling and upselling when appropriate. Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, assisting with product inquiries, order status, and general questions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, pricing, inventory, and new products; participate in product training as needed. Resolve routine customer concerns and escalate more complex issues as necessary. Maintain a secure and accurate cash drawer in accordance with company procedures. Monitor stock levels, communicate stock-out items, and provide recommendations for new or replenished inventory. Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked displays in the counter sales area. Follow company policies and procedures related to sales transactions, documentation, refunds, and credit memos. Collaborate with team members and support overall store operations as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned to support sales and operational needs.
