Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Sales Associate is to provide outstanding customer service by delivering an exceptional experience to every customer. Sales Associates are responsible for engaging customers, identifying their needs, recommending products, maintaining merchandise displays, and ensuring assigned departments remain clean, organized, and fully stocked. Duties Help unload incoming trucks and stock merchandise as directed by management. Maintain assigned departments by keeping them clean, organized, and fully stocked. Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail. Work collaboratively with team members and actively participate in daily meetings and store initiatives. Remove promotional signage and update pricing following sales events and advertisements. Restock merchandise displays, end caps, and promotional areas. Assist customers with special orders for non-stock items. Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Greet customers promptly and offer assistance throughout the store. Demonstrate the company's

customer service process. Assist customers with product information and simple concerns, referring more complex issues to management. Follow the Five Foot Rule by greeting or acknowledging customers within five feet. Maintain awareness of current promotions and advertisements. Wear a radio/headset and communicate effectively with team members and management. Respond to customer service requests promptly. Assist customers with loading large or heavy merchandise. Offer shopping baskets to customers when appropriate. Assist with training and mentoring new team members. Experience Knowledge of plumbing and electrical products is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional and courteous attitude with customers and coworkers. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to learn all areas of the store. Knowledge of hardware, building materials, or related products is preferred. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are strongly preferred.
